Our Services

Well & Sick Exams

We recommend annual wellness visits for all dogs and cats. A full physical exam each year allows the veterinarian to check your pet from nose to tail for signs of underlying conditions. We believe that prevention is the best medicine: by finding disease early, it is often easier - and less costly - to treat.

CANINE:

Rabies*, DHPP, Leptospirosis, Lyme, Bordetella, K9 Influenza (H3N8)

FELINE:

Rabies*, FVRCP, FeLV

*Rabies is required for all dogs and cats per PA State Law

General Surgery

We routinely perform affordable dog and cat spays and neuters. Our veterinarians are also experienced in additional general surgeries, including mass removals, abdominal surgery, gastropexy ("stomach tacking" to prevent GDV in deep-chested dogs like Great Danes), and more.

All surgical patients are carefully monitored by Certified Veterinary Technicians.

Surgical Instruments

Orthopedic Surgery

Dr. Gaiser performs select orthopedic surgeries including cruciate ligament (ACL) repair and femoral head osteotomy (FHO) surgeries.

In-House Laboratory

We are able to offer quick, accurate diagnostics within minutes with our in-house lab.

Blood work options include Complete Blood Count (CBC), Chemistry, Thyroid (T4), Phenobarbital Levels, as well as screening tests for Heartworm, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma (dogs) and FeLV/FIV (cats).

Other in-house tests offered include urinalysis, cytology, and Giardia screening.

Referral Lab Services

We may send samples to a referral laboratory for specialized or non-urgent testing, such as Idexx Laboratories, Michigan State Thyroid Lab, and Minnesota Urolith Center.

Most referral tests take 1 to 3 business days, and we will call you when we receive results.

Digital Radiography

Digital x-rays can give our veterinarians a quick view of internal structures of the body to help diagnose many conditions.

These images are easily shared via email, or may be burned onto a disc to share with other veterinary providers.

X-rays

Ultrasound

Some conditions are best diagnosed through abdominal ultrasound, which allows a real-time view of soft tissues and vessels that are difficult to detect on x-ray.

Dental Prophylaxis

If your pet has signs of periodontal disease such as loose teeth, excessive tartar buildup, or inflamed gums, your veterinarian may recommend a dental cleaning.

Under general anesthesia, we thoroughly examine your pet's mouth and chart any abnormalities. Tartar buildup and plaque is removed with an ultrasonic scaler, and all teeth are polished to remove any microscopic scratches that can harbor bacteria.

The veterinarian will extract any teeth that are at risk of causing your pet pain.

Laser Therapy

Our Companion Therapy Laser is a Class IV laser used to treat a variety of conditions, from hot spots and ear infections to arthritis and post-surgical recovery.

It is a non-invasive treatment that helps to ease painful conditions by reducing inflammation and increasing blood flow to promote rapid healing.

Prescription Diets

If your dog or cat has a condition that would benefit from special nutrition, your veterinarian may recommend a prescription diet.

We have confidence in the consistent quality of Purina & Hill's Prescription Diets to treat certain conditions and slow the progression of some chronic diseases.

Microchipping

We offer Home Again microchips at our hospital. Sedation is not necessary, as it causes only about as much discomfort as a vaccine.

It can be easily implanted during an appointment or while your pet is here for an anesthetic procedure.

A complimentary one-year membership to Home Again's premium services is included with each microchip. Your pet's ID will always be searchable in the database to help you reunite.

Microchipped dogs are eligible for a Lifetime Dog License in PA.
