NEW CANINE INFLUENZA VACCINE NOW AVAILABLE

We now carry the canine influenza vaccine. This vaccine is to prevent the “flu” in dogs that may be at risk of exposure. These dogs would include those who are boarding, going to groomers, going to dog shows and dog parks. In the first year, two vaccines are given 2 to 4 weeks apart and then repeated annually. Canine influenza is a reparatory virus which can cause a severe cough, fever and may result in pneumonia. There is no cure so protection is the best method of controlling the disease. There is no cross-species spread.
